| Well. Year 12 has fully HIT. I've had so much work to do in the past 3 weeks, I'm exhausted every night.
But I'm getting through it at least and my mum and teachers seem impressed so yey.
I don't like all the new shit on xanga. I came to xanga for its simplicity, now every blog site ever wants to try to be the next facebook (which sucks) or myspace (which rules but we only need one).
I don't get the whole facebook fascination. I know most ppl just went to it so they could be cool and say omg i dont have a myspace *pops collar* but really....what's with all the vouyerism?
Do people really like seeing every little thing their friends do on the site? I joined so I could talk to an overseas friend who was too cool for myspace and ended up adding a few others from around my area. Within 10 mins, I'd seen that one of my, well, less attractive aquaintences had taken a sexual personality test.

So I'm obsessed with Lost again. Make that CONSUMED by it. It's getting so good and I really feel the writers are gonna pull out all the stops in the finale coming up. Apparently there'll be an "earth shattering" kiss coming up...so many possibilities.
Kate seemed all giddy around Faraday in the last ep and we all know she fought with Sawyer (over a pretty darn big issue too, her potential pregnancy, which he responded to the news she isnt with a bit too much enthusiasm, dumbass) and Jack's pretty much with Juliet now (wtf? what do all the island men see in her? More on that later) so a kiss between those two would be pretty explosive.
The only other possible explosive kisses would be Desmond and Penny (altho we all know they're in love, "explosive" makes me think of unexpected) or Sayid and Nadia (same with them too).
Sawyer also acted very sweet towards Claire in the last ep so maybe its them. Gawd, what an odd couple they'd be.
Maybe Ben and someone? PLEASE NOT JULIET! Jack will have some gorilla esque freakout then bash anyone he can get his hands on then still get knocked out by Ben hahahahaha. Yes, I hate Jack. And Juliet. They're a good match in fact. A good annoying match.
Now for my distaste of Juliet.
While most people seemed to like her more after The Other Woman, it only confirmed my growing hatred for her.
I was glad when Harper (Ms Botox Face) gave her the "maybe you're not a celebrity you ho!" speech because someone needs to take Juliet down a notch. But of course, it didn't work and Juliet somehow believes she can get away with having an affair with Harper's husband Goodwin on an ISLAND. Dumbass! There's like 30 of you at the most, and you all live right next door to each other and you think NO ONE will notice? Geez....
THEN when she's rightfully put on the spot by Harper, she LIES and can't believe Harper would "accuse" her of doing what she's doing! When I first saw the ep, Juliet was so good at pretending to be offended, I actually thought she was telling the truth til Harper said she saw them. Ugh, cannot stand people like that. (Also makes her similar to Sun, in terms of seemingly sweet, unthreatening women being able to lie to anyone about anything so long as they can keep doing what they want to do).
So with her secret affair revealed she still vows to keep GOING with it. Something that Harper doesn't notice because she's too busy trying to save her goddamn husbands life from Ben, ANOTHER dude completely taken by Holier Than Thou Juliet.
Of course Goodwin doesn't give a shit about his wife or Juliet's eventual worry about Ben which probably lulled Juliet into some weird ass sense of security but GAWD, how dumb can you get?
Plus, I really don't get the constant male fawning over her. She's pretty yes, VERY pretty probably one of the prettiest on the show (Sun is the most pretty, bar none). But personality? Well, aside from some passive agressiveness, I really don't see anything remotely interesting about her, certainly not enough to catch Ben's attention like she did. (Hah, watch him check her ass out at the start of the episode lmao).
She seems to have that annoying little girl nature about her, the meek voice, the somewhat meek attitude (until you tell her you know she's sleeping with your husband, THEN she gets all serious...as she tells you she'll keep going).
I'm guessing the writers are maybe waiting to reveal more about her in the next two seasons...trying to make her like a wild card right now.
I also want to know what will happen if she and Ben ever cross paths again. She basically gave away a TON of his secrets in Through The Looking Glass and he seemed furious and bewildered (rightfully so). He did do a LOT for her and she repays him by running off at the first chance she can get and spilling any useful secret she can, which has NOW gotten Ben into serious shit with Widmore and is partly the cause of Alex's death.
Although Desmond is a little more to blame for that since he turned the key in the hatch which meant it became visible to the world for a hot minute. I believe that's how Widmore's ship found them. I think.
Anyway. I've never liked Jack and I don't know why anyone would choose him over Sayid to be the leader of them all. If Sayid were a doctor, I have no doubt in my mind he would have been made the leader. Jack is a bullheaded, rather dumb, moody, self absorbed, mysogynisitc ass.
I often wonder why actors STILL agree to parts in their scripts where they have to tell women what to do. The amount of times Jack ordered Kate around like a little girl infuriated me. I was so happy when he saw her and Sawyer gettin' it on in the bear cage. Take THAT, you chauvanistic pig! Sawyer ALWAYS treated "Freckles" as his equal and knew how capable she was and look who got the booty. Sayid did too and I kinda wish the writers had kept with the Sayid/Kate romance they were heading towards in season one. That way Shannon's death wouldn't have bothered me so much. I liked Shannon, especially after I saw her flashbacks. That girl had been through a lot of shit, so it was easy to see where her bitter nature came from. I liked seeing her happy with Sayid, they match in some strange ass way, but I thought it was kind of pathetic to kill her off. She could have eventually become a very strong woman, on level with Kate, remember when Shannon tried to shoot Locke? There was something awesome about that despite the fact that I'm a huge Locke fan.
But, no. She had to be shot by that other strong woman everyone hated. Ana-Lucia. As much as her surly attitude annoyed me, it didn't annoy me as much as Sawyers (which everyone seemed to love...what? A woman can never be bitter? They all have to be meek like Juliet and Claire or dumb like Kate? Sun's the only mildly strong woman and OF COURSE, she's pregnant, which hinders her).
So our one saving grace in terms of strong women seems to be Alex. Only 16, but still willing enough to do what's right despite having the worlds most controlling dad. Oh...what? You mean she got shot in the head last ep? While handcuffed and on her knees? Well, at least the writers gave her a dignified....oh wait....

I sometimes wonder if the bigwigs step in and make the writers change their scripts. Like how Jack was supposed to die in the first episode (you have no IDEA how MUCH i WISHED that had happened!) and make Kate the leader. How fucking awesome would that have been?! But no, the money men stepped in and desperate housewived all the women. As usual.
So this pretty much explains to me why I prefer the guys on this show. For some reason, Ben is my favourite right now. Mainly because he gets things DONE instead of worrying, he can manipulate ANYONE, and his scenes with Locke are always fantastic. I find it hard to believe he's talked Locke into some of the things he has but I guess the writers are trying to prove how "good" he is at tricking.

| October 18th was my last entry? Wow.
Time really does fly.
I guess I'll just dot point the main events :
* I am 18 on Sunday. Hell yeah!
* Back at school now, and for some reason it's pouring rain in goddamn February!
* I had a good holidays and I did GREAT on my yr 11 exams.
* I really like most of my new classes and i'm glad im with more friends this time.
* I met a REALLY nice guy at the end of last year called Ben and he's in my mentor class this yr too.
* I met this other really nice guy calld Jacob who lives around my area and just started at this school.
* Rav can go fuck himself. I'm seriously getting over him which is good.
* I'm completely and utterly obsessed with film and I found my new favourite film of all time, bar none :

This movie is absolutely A.MA.ZING!
I'd give anything to make or be in a movie as good as this.

Haha, btw, "woot" is now officially a word. Haha. I love those new dictionary entries because it reminds me that we're still making history. I think a lot of people feel like all history has been made and it's all been done but people don't realise that in yrs to come some random is gonna be reading a dictionary and see the word woot and realise it was invented in the 2000s.
I'm always thinking about "everything happens for a reason" and "one thing leads to another".
Like for instance with woot, if the internet had never taken off, then become mainstream, then been able to carry instant messages, then "woot" would never have been invented and I wouldn't be typing about it right now.
Crazy shit like that fascinates me.
Like everything you do leads you to every point you find yourself in and if you'd done ONE thing differently you'd be somewhere else.

People care so much about celebrities because they lead that fantasy, unreachable kind of life. They're like what Ancient Gods were to Greeks back in the day. We look up to them and take [most] of our cues from their fashion, choices etc. I guess celeb obsession can be dangerous cause at the end of the day they are human too and if we copy their mistakes...well...
I think the caring stems from the constant want and desire to be "Someone". To be noticed and to have people interested in your life because they can see you. It's been kind of pushed out in the media that worth = being known. It might not be true but everyone believes it. Why do you think youtube is so popular? The thing is, there's no substitute for a real star. The Chris Crockers of the world can howl on youtube all they want but at the end of the day, they won't last long. You need the skills and talent already in place to truly become a star or an icon. You can't just do it overnight. It has to be there already which is why Idols hardly ever succeed and so far no youtube or myspace star has really taken off. Sure, Lily Allen will probably still be around for a while but she hasn't had another huge hit since Smile. That Sandi Thom chick has dissapeared. And Chris Crocker? Well...lets just say I'm not the only one counting down the days til his TV show ends [even though it hasn't begun].
I think another reason people care so much is honest sympathy for people we can see in trouble. Why else would Britney get so many second chances? To see someone you look up to struggle and crash to the ground after they've achieved so much is sad. It can make you angry because you can't do anything even though you can see them and it can make you sad because you feel close to them but you still can't help. It's frustrating!
These celebs are forced in our faces but we can't help or fight back or tell them what we think. So I think that's why gossip blogging is so popular now. It's a way for the "little people" to voice what they think of celebs. But the idiots of the world take over the comments sections by dissing the ones they hate over and over again. Seriously, if you hate someone so much, why spend time on them? I don't get all these people who say "OMG I HATE PARASITE HILTON SO MUCH" then follow her jail sentence time like it's the only interesting thing happening in their lives.
Do people realise they're the main reason Paris is famous? Sure, the media prints WAY too many pictures of her in every magazine (I counted 40 pics in one mag once) but if we all just ignored her rather than printing and posting 60 million articles on her, she'd go away. Look at Kim Karshardian or whoever, no-ones paying her much attention and even though we're aware of her, she's still not EVERYWHERE all the time like she's important. Cause she's not and the public is acting accordingly.
It's different for Britney and Lindsay - at least they HAD careers and actually worked HARD as kids to get where they are. Sure, they're taking advantage of their millions to destroy themselves but I'd feel better standing up for someone who actually tried than someone who was lucky enough to be born rich and someone who has been outed for calling the paparazzi to her location then complaining about too much attention. Seriously Paris, FUCK OFF. I long for the day when she's no longer relevant or "important" or the latest "thing". When they finally managed to lock her in her jailcell and we didn't hear anything it was paradise. Whenever all those IT Girls are quiet and there's next to no "news" - it's great.
As much as I keep up with celeb news and gossip (mainly for new releases and fashion) we'd still be a whole lot better off without so much of it. I think there should be one or two goss tabloids and one or two blogs. ALL this stuff dedicated to people who don't really deserve this much attention is annoying and I really hope public fascination with celebrities [and public critisism] dies down soon. | | |

SO much has happened [and changed] since I last wrote.
So the holidays came and on the first Thursday I got my wisdom teeth removed. All 4.
First day after the surgery was just a whole lotta sleep and icepacks.
Actually most of the recovery was like that. Got to watch a lot of movies though :

I think that was it. So that part was fun and I really want to see Shawshank again. I can't believe it didn't win ANY Oscars.
So the recovery was annoying because I couldn't go anywhere or do anything and when the painkillers wore off the pain was horrible. To top it off I had this foul taste in my mouth that I still lightly have now. So I had to keep eating the only foods I could eat (cheese sandwhich cut up, jelly, yoghurt, pasta) over and over again. Boo.
I was also fighting with Audrey on myspace. She told me every bad thing about me and I dunno, it made me take a good look at myself. I don't think I'm AS bad as she says and she tends to exaggerate and get bitchy, but I DO need to change. I'm stuck as I am and i need a whole new way of thinking and seeing life. So I went to bed on Wednesday the 3rd, vowing to change and get things going.
I woke up the next morning to Mum telling me "I have to talk to you". I knew someone had passed. She told me and I felt really bad for a minute there because I couldn't start crying. Then it hit. I've never seen my family so distraught. Except for Kelly, my aunt. She talks to a psychic and basically KNEW it was going to happen. My great grandma passed from an aneurism burst. So it was a peaceful death in her sleep. I'm happy for that.
My uncle's being a really stuck up pig about the whole thing. He basically just bossed us all into the funeral service and wouldn't let anyone else contribute [oh but we have to type it up for him]. He made up some corny as hell thing about symbols of Nan which included her fucking handbag and bananas in pyjamas. What the fuck? How the fuck did they represent her? Then he told some stories which more poked fun at her and made him look good than actually be a nice memory of her. He said me and mum were too poor to go out so Nan took us out once but that was completely untrue. WE took her tea the week before then she was returning the favour. We asked him to change it and he didn't. Now he's living in his moms home and there's gonna be this whole legal battle about who gets the house and shit. Yeah, Rest In Peace. *sigh*
The burial wasn't much better. Aside from the fact that I really don't like burials or graves, we were told to go in one entrance but it was actually the other one so we ended up being half an hour late and he [uncle] was YELLING at one of us to hurry up and he was swearing and I just can't believe this guy used to be a priest! It's like since he retired he thinks he can act like a total pig and ppl won't say anything because if he puts the whites on once a week he's "a person of God" - yeah okay whatever.
So yeah, now one of the permanent memories that goes with my great grandmother passing is Joe being a complete fuck up. As usual.
Anyway, I'm moving on more every day and mom's stuck more than ever. As usual. Fuck, maybe things haven't changed at all.
Stella's got her 18th coming up, cocktail dresses! lol. Gonna shop at Garfunkle and Bridge Rd. Can't wait to try on some hot heels. We came into some money last week so i have the chance to get some nice stuff. Gonna get my hair dyed reddish some time either this week or next.
the weathers GREAT today, 27 degrees! That's summer weather! I'm in a singlet again yay.
Bahaha, I'm obsessed with Everybody Loves Raymond at the moment. It's on at like midnight every night, double episode. I must have seen like 20 eps in the past few weeks. It's such a good show, I miss when it was on normally at like 7:30pm and there were new eps always coming out. Gaah. All the good shows end. Although it did go for like 10-11 years. And the dad is dead now ='[
Halloween soon, wonder if anyone will trick or treat.

Saturday -
Went to Crown with Stella, Auds and Candice. LOL, we were gonna go to some posh ass restaurant and instead we got KFC! hahahaha...then we saw the Simpsons movie and it was actually REALLY good. It was consistent the whole way through - like a really good episode. I really do prefer it over family guy if I'm honest lol. I like the characters more whereas FG I only like Stewie and the dog...Brian. Brian is an absolute classic. He's like the underrated Stewie :P
Then on sunday i FINALLY met Chris and he's fantastic. God, he even watches Supernatural! LOL I never thought I'd find someone who liked HEROES LOST ANNNND SUPERNATURAL! So we chatted at Stephs for a while then decided to go see I Now Pronounce You chuck And Larry. I was dragged kicking and screaming to this (wanted to see die hard again lol) but I walked out very impressed. A freakin' Adam Sandler movie and I walked out impressed! WTF!
So ya i'm in history right now, we're preparing for a SAC about the movie platoon which is to do with the vietnam war. Yeah, im lookin' forward to video production at 2 30 LOL. My movies gonna look realllly funny with all the sound effects put in :D
